NIGHTWING ("we", "us" and "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details (phone number, email and physical address), collection and delivery addresses, parcel and waybill details, account and billing information, and any information you give us when you contact us or use our website, customer portal, app or WhatsApp services. When you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your WhatsApp number and the content of your messages so that we can respond to and process your request.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to provide and manage our courier, warehousing and logistics services; to create and manage your account; to process quotes, bookings and payments; to communicate with you about shipments, enquiries and support (including by WhatsApp, email and telephone); to improve our services; and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Sharing your information
We may share your information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business (such as IT, communications, payment and delivery partners), and with authorities or third parties where we are required to do so by law. We do not sell your personal information.
WhatsApp and Meta
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta, to communicate with our customers. Messages you send to us are processed through WhatsApp and Meta in line with their own terms and privacy policies, and are stored in our systems so that we can handle your enquiry and keep a record of our communication with you.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal, accounting and reporting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details above.
